AMSTERDAM - Maandag® Holding announced that it has been awarded both tenders by the municipality of Nissewaard. For temporary staffing up to and including scale 8, secondment from scale 9 and the deployment of freelancers, Maandag® came out as the best candidate on all counts. This is the first time that Maandag® Flex and Maandag® Managed Services have tackled a project from tender to implementation as two players in one team.
The Municipality of Nissewaard employs over 800 people and has a need to hire people with diverse profiles. For instance, they need administrative and service desk staff, but the municipality also regularly seeks specialists for projects of a temporary nature, such as sustainability issues. Because of the differences in the daily practice of hiring temporary staff and hiring external professionals from salary scale 9 onwards, the municipality issued two separate tenders.
Both divisions of Maandag® won the tender, mainly based on their description 'Implementation of the contract'. Important requirements in the tender included a smooth workflow, a solid implementation plan, the possibility to engage freelancers and a single user-friendly portal to organise all work efficiently. For the municipality, the collaboration means a new way of working in which digitisation is central, without losing sight of the open, people-oriented culture.
Digitalisation in the service of personal attention.
The balance between digital tools and personal attention also characterises the way Maandag® works. For example, Maandag®Flex uses many digital media channels to reach the right people, but always ensures that candidates are contacted personally.
'By digitising the internal standard processes at the Municipality of Nissewaard, we create space to give extra attention to the customer,' says Marvin Zoetemelk, Programme Consultant at Maandag® Managed Services. 'The process from staffing request to invoicing goes through our central system. In addition, my colleague Victor from Maandag® Flex and I work at the Municipality of Nissewaard office on a weekly basis. We therefore know what's going on and we can experience the culture in person. As a result, the two divisions of Maandag® fit well together, and we can better select the right people. So that's a double advantage.'
Two services, one portal.
Chantal Dietz, HR policy and project advisor at the Municipality of Nissewaard, was closely involved in the tender. 'We were able to realise the tender and implementation in a very short time. In recent years, we’ve noticed that hiring temporary staff and hiring external professionals are really two different sports, which is why we issued two separate tenders. We are fortunate to be working with both Maandag® Flex and Maandag® Managed Services. The two separate divisions fit together seamlessly. That allows us to accelerate the switch to one central portal for all staffing requests, which was a particularly important requirement for us.'
Bernd-Jan Kwast, implementation manager at Maandag®, was involved from the tender application to the end of the implementation. 'The collaboration with Chantal and her team went very smoothly and flexibly and was based on trust. You can achieve a lot together in that way. We look forward to continuing our successful collaboration.'
