Key Responsibilities

  • Application Development: Design, code, and optimize applications tailored for cloud environments, with a focus on AWS.
  • CI/CD Implementation: Simplify and enhance code integration and deployment using Git and CI tools.
  • Container Management: Deploy and manage applications with container tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring: Operate, monitor, and support cloud and on-premises infrastructure using advanced observability tools.
  • Networking Optimization: Configure and manage networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) to ensure peak performance.
  • Process Automation: Streamline infrastructure deployment and testing through automation tools like Pulumi and Gherkin.
  • Server Administration: Oversee and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers.
  • Security Compliance: Use AWS security features (e.g., IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager) to safeguard applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaborative Reporting: Clearly communicate progress and address challenges through both verbal and written updates.

  • Current AWS Team:
    • Composed of 6 international members, working 100% remotely.
    • Opportunity to strengthen the existing team or replace underperforming team members.
  • Expectations from Candidates:
    • Hands-on AWS expertise (EKS, Kubernetes, GitHub are essential).
    • Development skills are required (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
    • Familiarity with Pulumi/Gherkin (preferred over Terraform).
    • Experience building scalable cloud applications is critical.
    • AWS certification is not mandatory but highly valued.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Good English is a must (team members from India speak only English).
    • German proficiency is a bonus to facilitate communication with local stakeholders.
  • Location Requirements:
    • Candidates should be willing to travel 1–2 times a year for a week each to the Hamburg area.



  • Code and Develop: Design, code, and adapt applications for cloud-based environments, focusing on AWS services.
  • Implement and Maintain CI/CD: Utilize Git and CI tools to streamline code integration and deployment.
  • Deploy and Manage Containers: Work with containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker to deploy and manage applications.
  • Monitor and Maintain Cloud Infrastructure: Operate and monitor on-premises and cloud infrastructure using observability tools.

  • Automate Processes: Automate infrastructure deployment and testing using Pulumi, Gherkin, and other tools.

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional Experience: 5+ years in software development, especially creating/adapting applications for cloud environments.
  • Coding Proficiency: Skilled in Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
  • AWS Certification: Professional-level AWS certification (e.g., Cloud Solution Architect, IT Operations Administrator).
  • Containerization Expertise: Proficient with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS/ECS, or Docker.
  • Network Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS.
  • Cloud Service Experience: Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure services (S3, EBS, EC2, RDS, IAM, VPC, Cloud Trail, Cloud Watch, etc.).
  • OS Administration: Experienced in both Linux and Windows Server administration.
  • Automation Savvy: Proficient with infrastructure automation tools like Pulumi and Gherkin.
  • Version Control and CI: Skilled in Git, code review, and continuous integration processes.
  • English Proficiency: Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • AWS: Amazon EKS/ECS, WS technologies including S3, EBS, EC2, EFS, RDS, EKS, ECS, AKS, IAM, ELB/ALB, VPC, Cloud Trail, Cloud Watch, KMS, System Manager, Route 53, Secrets Manager, auto-scaling and Observability
